I’m sure we’ve all seen the million dollar homepage. Some laughed at it, some tried cashing in on the idea too, and most of us thought "Wish I’d come up with the idea.".
I bought one tiny space on Nov 23 and reported on it on my blog. At that time Alex had 664,000 backlinks. Today he’s sold out.
He ended it in style by selling the last 1100 pixels on ebay for $38,100.

Meanwhile the homepage was a marketing ploy in itself that saw its popularity balloon through the interest in Tew’s story and expressed mission to rid himself of debt. Add to that his near relentless pursuit of media attention in both the U.S. and U.K. and you have a recipe for extraordinary success.
Alex also adds in the Forbes report:
"Obviously there’s going to be some tough phases on the way, but I’m not a one-trick pony."
Could he eventually become a billionaire? "Why not?" he says shrugging.

I think those spray toilets are popular in asia….which as I understand, kinda wipes your butt…but don’t know..never used one of those….

How about putting 10 webmasters of vastly differing personalities and web morales into a house together for a competition in which they each make one new website and go all out in a competition for traffic…

last 1,000 Pixels, not 1100 pixels.
an idea? here is one:
make up a kind of striptease blog. take a picture, cover your body with one million pixel and let people buy this pixels. the opposite to alex tews page - people pay for removing pixels, not for setting pixels. isn’t it an incredible good idea? but perhaps it would be better to ask your your girl friend if you want to have maximum success.

Striptease blog? For Jim, he would have to start out with a fully viewable picture, and people could buy pixels to block parts of it out. Oh, the humanity!
