The worst is when you get an email from a host and they don't tell you what domain it's for, and it comes from something like [email protected]. Great thanks how the heck am I supposed to know what to do with this?

It's not a subject I'm very knowledgeable on, but I'm taking a link building clinic right now where that will be one of the topics, so hopefully I'll pick up some pointers. Good to hear what you say about my backlinks! They are more a reflection of just being "active" in an online niche over the years, rather than active SEO. Still, it does show the value of such activity, if done as part of your SEO.

sweet - i got all six. though i do not claim to be a genius, i learned a trick for spell checking, that works equally well when looking for specific characters. read the sentence backwards - by looking at the text from the last letter, and proceeding from right to left, back to the beginning, you are able to avoid having your mind fill in the blanks of what it expects to see.

I'm curious why credit cards actually need to expire, as long as the bill is being paid every month (beyond wear and tear.) My card expired last month -- I didn't have to updated anywhere near 400+ accounts, but it was a hassle.

OK OK if you're going to start pushing us into commenting Jim I've always been fairly paranoid about this kind of thing and found a few tools/approaches useful. Most server admins know about Personal Vault - it's a great little app at $15 that you can pile your passwords/usernames into. Well worth the price. For encrypting documents on your server or pc then I would also recommend buying the Kryptel suite The problem with Kryptel is that you have to keep encrypting/decrypting - although it is just a right-mouse click action. It's not suitable for files that will have more than one person accessing them at a time. We've got a fair few people here now so we've moved to a local setup of MS Server, domain based access and permissions on folders (server holds the Outlook .pst files). I'm sure we could have done this with *nix/samba but sometimes you have to delegate

I hope the link bait idea that wins the BizNicheMedia contest is a good one. An honest one. I'm not sure what to think. On the one hand, as a professional blogger I understand that tempting ideas (which can be honest or not) will invite (lure?) visitors to a site, and then maybe bring it revenue through clicking on ads or making purchases. That's fine with me, as long as it's not just seeking traffic for traffic's sake. I posted my thoughts about this linkbait contest and would love to hear anyone's feedback on my thoughts there.
