Hi Jim

Two tips:

1. Forward the catch-all to a Gmail address. Gmail does a great job at filtering out the spam. I use this and it works a real treat.

2. Turn on the Gmail keyboard shortcuts as suggested above. Once you get the hang of them, you'll be flying through your email.

Jim, Intermedia is the company I was referring to in my original post, not interland. We were actually planning on switching to them from mailstreet at one time, but never got around to it. Mailstreet is great, but intermedia looked to have better management controls.

If it works out let me know.

The only other thing I wish these guys would offer is an Email Response Management system for monitoring employees emails. Such as what emailtopia offers http://www.emailtopia.com/products/rm/overview.asp .. Unfortunatly they only offer it for Imap based systems.

If anyone comes accross an ERM solution for Exchange, I would love to hear about it.

I think I'm going to test out a service by intermedia.net. I've heard a lot of good things about this company and I think that having all the employees emails under 1 main managed account might be the solution I'm seeking...something a bit more robust.
This is the email hosting plan I'll be trying....if that's not my solution we'll be moving to gmail next.

With Gmail's search feature, I don't see why you need to use labels. Clutter at will; you can find it all later through search. And with the space they give you, you really don't need to delete anything. That and managing all your email addresses through a web-based client doesn't get any better. Then you have live chat in Gmail, the best spam filter on the block; you can read RSS feeds in the Web Clips section; then there's threading and you can even pop your email if you're so inclined. The list goes on and on.

I've been in the same boat just a month ago, looking to dump Y!mail for something more private and reliable.

I went with a hosted exchange by 4smartphone.com. I run Outlook locally (free copy w. account) and the web interface remotely. Contacts, calendars, shared folders, the whole shebang. Very satisfied.

Please stay away from webmail.us its way too slow. I can put in my password and then hit login.... open a new tab and open gmail, login and start reading a new email... and webmail.us is still logging in. Its that slow!

Hey Jim... my company uses IMail by Ipswitch. I would also check out Smatermail by Smatertools. Both are programs you have to buy.
