I followed this rainbow for about a 1/2 hour going from Vegas into Arizona - pretty cool

Accoring to the local indian legand (and from what I recall), the local indian tribe believed that they had once lived in another dimension, and in that other dimension some enemies had been chasing them. To excape into our dimension they went through a hole into our dimension and that hole filled with water so the enemies couldn't come through to get them. That water is behind us. FYI, this water is in the middle of the desert.

This is near the base of the water. Thousands of years ago people lived here (this dugout is kind of underground).

Then we headed to see some more anchient dwelling and rock art at the Palatki Heritage Site

A prickly pear cactus.

A century plant. They bloom about every 35 years and grown about 1-2 feet per day...then die.
