I know it’s been 2 months since you left me a reply, but I’ve had some big medical problems, and I’m just getting back into the swing of things. Very interesting what you say about internal links. It’s not a subject I’m very knowledgeable on, but I’m taking a link building clinic right now where that will be one of the topics, so hopefully I’ll pick up some pointers. Good to hear what you say about my backlinks! They are more a reflection of just being “active” in an online niche over the years, rather than active SEO. Still, it does show the value of such activity, if done as part of your SEO.

from a quick glance, your backlinks look awesome. I’d look at your on page factors and internal link structures more than I’d be looking to get more links….and mind you, I don’t say that often…again, it’s not links you need…it’s on page optimization.

We just dropped from page 1 to page 3 or 4 on Google for many top terms. And for our top, top term, we dropped from page 3, where we got a bit of traffic, to page 12. It seems to be related to Jagger, but the funny thing is, it’s squeaky clean (as far as we know) and we have no recip links. Since 80% of our traffic was from organic Google, we are now hurting on this site. I’d love to hear a bit more about your “real link referral friends” that you allude to.

80% of my traffic is from search engines, about 66% of which is Google, and 12% MSN, with Yahoo trailing at 1% and various other engines making up the last percent. My site is not quite five months old.

I credit much of the traffic I’ve gained with an extremely long tail subject - the site is informational.

But I guess I haven’t quite left mother google yet…
