Keyword Marketing

Internet Marketing or Google Marketing starts with finding the best keyword phrases for marketing.
This is NOT a guessing game - keyword marketing is a science, and an art.

Analyzing Keyword phrases is the foundation of everything you will do for your internet marketing campaign - Choose your words wisely.  The best tool for finding keywords is Wordtracker.  This is the first essential keyword marketing tool that any serious internet marketing person needs.  Click Here to Get Wordtracker.  Wordtracker costs about $215 US Dollars per year.  Wordtracker is web-based software (you have to be connected to the Internet to use this tool).

Keyword Marketing for Google:
To find the best keywords to target, start by asking the following questions:

  1. What is the ultimate goal of your site? Keep this in mind when choosing words.
  2. Who is your target market?  Try to "think" like them.
  3. What words might they type in to find your products / services - always assuming they don't know your company name, or anything about your company?  Be sure to put yourself in their shoes!

Keep in mind that most people search using 2-3 word phrases.  In the Internet Marketing field we call these words "keyword phrases".  Come up with a list of as many phrases as you can from your brainstorming session. Add these to your keyword marketing list.

Next you will want to find out how many people are searching these keyword phrases.  You will also want to check many other phrases from this brainstorming list, such as synonyms, related phrases, plurals, short and longer phrases, and different combinations of those words.

create a banner, then you can use their keyword suggestion tool - you don't even need to
sign up for this service!

View your competition, and see what they're using for keyword marketing. 
Don't assume that they are doing a good job at choosing keywords though,
since most aren't, but you might find some keyword marketing word angles 
that may be useful.

Find your competition, and analyze their programming code by right clicking on a blank area of their page and choosing "view source".  View their Meta Tags.
