Backlink & Anchor Text SEO Tool Updated – Ninja Style.

Our backlink anchor text tool was semi-broke for a while there, but today we got the new bugs worked out. I also figured that so long as we were doing work on that tool that I might as well add some updates to the tool.

Here is what the new We Build Pages Backlink Text Analysis tool does:

You enter in your root url (not a subpage, but a homepage).

This tool finds about 1000 backlinks to your site.

This tool then finds the link text linking to your site from each of those pages, and gives you a report.
(This step takes ~15 minutes….I’d recommend minimizing that window, and returning later to view results).

When the above report is finished, it then generates 3 more reports for you:

The Anchor Text Summary Report
(shows how often phrases are used to link to your site)

The Ninja Choice Summary Report
(we use our secret method of removing links from the original report that are flagged as "possible worthless links" (scrapers, etc)
(This is what I’d use to analyze backlink text)

Then a Ninja Word Summary
(how often each individual word is used to link to your site).

We used this tool on a site we’re considering buying today and found some great areas that we could focus on with that site.

Hope you enjoy our backlink text report tool…..stay tuned for the 301 Finder Tool coming soon! (enter in a url and it will tell you what other sites are 301’d there, and how many backlinks those sites had, and how old the sites are…cool eh?)

I hope you like!
Cheers!

  1. Awesome!

One question… how are the 1000 or so backlinks chosen? Are these random/most authoritative/first ones found?

Looking forward to the 301 tool!

  2. As before the update, this tool does not work for me. It mixes up all subdomains at onreact.com, although I just submit one of those. The link anchor is always “not found” and it takes ages, it works for 30 minutes now.

  3. Really neat tool man!
    Thanks.
I did notice that when it finds links to a subdomain of my site, it registers them as links, but give the anchor text [Not Found] wich is not correct. Only seems to be doing that when its a link to a subdomain.

  4. “Is there a reason you’re keeping it down to 1000 backlinks?”

What, aside from the fact that the tool is free and server-intensive? [;-)]

  5. The tool stops at 100 for every site that I have entered into the search. I would gladly pay for its usage if it was more accurate, but nice improvements thus far.

  6. Oh I use this tool in my dailywork all the time. Great work there fixin it.

Do you planning on realesing a paid tool with more features and limited result?

  7. Great tool!

As with everyone else, I am looking forward to the 301 tool. would love to take that baby out for a spin on a few sites.
Would be happy to pay for this lil gem where i could go beyond 1000 and dig deeper.

    Awesome work..

  8. Jim, I’ve been a longtime fan of your hubfinder tool (which I’ve already offered to update with you if you’re interested in my ideas) and this looks like a worthy addition the the arsenal! Thanks for sharing that with us all 😀
