I’ve been keeping our programmer pretty busy this past month by having him fix some of our old internet marketing tools, and creating new SEO tools for both private and public use.

My favorite SEO tool is our new version of the old Cool SEO Tool, now called The Top 10 Analysis SEO Tool, if you haven’t given it a spin, check it out!

Here’s our new We Build Pages SEO tools:

There’s other cool tools as well on our internet marketing tools page.

Anyone have ideas for new tools or improvements to these?

Nathaniel Thomas Scott Boykin - Born Nov 13, 2006

Friday, November 17th, 2006

Monday we welcomed a new addition to the Boykin Family.

Nathaniel Thomas Scott Boykin - (see his new website)

It was a very fast delivery, when we arrived at the hospital they said we could go back home….1/2 hour later he was born. Thank goodness we didn’t leave (we live 25 minutes away)!

At one point Mary said, I’ve got to push, and the nurse pulled the covers away and he was crowning. 2 more pushes and his head was out, the nurse was still getting her gloves on at that point. Then the doctor came in and pulled the rest of him out. Wow!

All is well (except a lot less sleep here)!

SEO Content Creation: WBP Website Content Writers. A CEO Post.

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

CEO Post:
We’re still working on the new webuildpages.com this week, but I thought I’d share some information about our new SEO content creation services.

Everyone should know that the secret to ranking high in the search engines comes though a combination of Links and Content, thus it only makes sense to work at both.

I’ve been greedy in that since last summer I’ve had our writers write over 17,000 pages of content for our own sites and for our clients, but I’ve yet to fully release the service publicly - until now.

I think one of the biggest advantage over our content creation competitors is that we’ve worked with over 200 writers so far, and that we’ve narrowed this list down to about 50 of the best content writers now. We’ve also had our writers list the topics they know about and enjoy writing about for us, listed in order of their preferences. We then hand out our orders to those we feel will do the best job for us/you based on this information.

I hope that our new page about our SEO Content Creation Services will answer most questions that people might have.

I really want people to think of We Build Pages as not only the Links Guys, but also the Content Writers Guys.

Special: From now until Jan 1st, 2007 I’ll offer 20% off for those who mention that they saw this service listed on JimBoykin.com!

Pictures of SEO People

Monday, November 13th, 2006

We’re still working on the new webuildpages.com (hoping to be released Friday), and still waiting for the new baby (due in 3 days).

Since I see that Nathaniel Broughton has a great Pubcon Drinking Game, for the Pubconference that starts tomorrow in Vegas, I thought it might be a good day to publish my new SEO Pictures Page for those who might not know what the SEO’s on the Drinking List look like.

Since 2002 I’ve had the honor of meeting a lot of SEO’s and Search Engine Reps that I highly admire and respect. Though these pictures aren’t endorsements, here’s our new testimonials page.

Though I’ve met a lot of SEO’s that I’ve got a lot of respect for, there’s still several more I’d like to meet.

I’ll be missing this Pubcon, and I’m missing the SES in Chicago in December due to the new baby in the house.

I will be at SES in NYC in Mid April. See you then!

New SEO Tool - Top Ten Analysis SEO Tool - Free

Friday, November 10th, 2006

I’ve been a busy bee here the past few weeks designing and rewriting webuildpages.com, updating the SEO Tools, and training new Link Ninjas.  We’re planning the new release of webuildpages.com next Friday.

But I thought that today I’d release some new improvements to the ole Cool SEO Tool. It’s also be renamed The Top Ten Analysis SEO Tool.

It’s an easy tool to use. Simply enter in a url and a keyword phrase.

The results will show:
The top 10 sites in google for that phrase, compared to your site.
It will also show how those top 10 sites rank in Yahoo and MSN.
It will show the number of pages those sites have indexed in Yahoo
It will show the backlinks to the page that ranks in the top 10 (Yahoo)
It will show the total backlinks to that domain (Yahoo)
It will show how many .edu’s are linking to each domain
It will show the Alexa ranking (rounded numbers)
It includes a link to Google’s Related Pages for that site (why sites with less backlinks rank higher)
Shows Google’s Allinanchor Rank
Shows the Age of the URL from the whois
Shows the Age from the wayback machine
Show how often the exact keyword phrase is found on the page

And shows all this in a nice table.

Since we’re now using API’s, this tool will only work for about 1000 searches per day…so if it gets maxed any day, try again the next day.

Enjoy The Top 10 Analysis SEO Tool!

…No Baby yet (Due the 16th).
